ACH Advantage Policy

A 3.5% fee may apply to credit/debit card payments. This is not a credit card surcharge or transaction fee, but helps cover administrative and technology services such as:


  • Secure patient portal access
  • Automated billing and payment reminders
  • Integrated health record tools
  • Membership management systems
  • Payment processor compliance and security
  • Real-time scheduling and messaging features
  • Ongoing technology updates, maintenance, and support
  • Practice infrastructure and service convenience


ACH payments are recommended, as they allow us to waive this fee and help keep your costs lower.

Controlled Medication Management Policy

For members requiring controlled substance prescriptions, changes over the past four years in federal and state regulations, pharmacy-specific rules, and ongoing medication shortages have made managing controlled substance prescriptions more complex—leading many practices to stop prescribing them at all. At Balanced Healthcare, we’re committed to navigating these challenges so you can continue receiving seamless, reliable care.


  • To maintain this level of care and address these changes, we consistently: 


  • Processing refill requests quickly to prevent delays in accessing your
  • medications.

  • Proactively address shortages, transferring prescriptions when necessary.
  • Waive the requirement for monthly in-person visits, saving you time.
  • Coordinate lab monitoring and therapeutic phlebotomy referrals as needed.


  • To ensure safe, responsible prescribing and enhanced oversight, patients receiving controlled substances are placed into a supplemental membership tier based on usage:


  • Tier 1 – $25/month: For individuals receiving 4 or more controlled substance
  • prescriptions per year
  • Tier 2 – $12.50/month: For individuals receiving 1 to 3 controlled substance
  • prescriptions per year


  • This tier supports the additional clinical time, compliance protocols, and documentation required for managing these medication.


  • The medication included but not limited to are listed below: 



  • Adderall (and all alternatives like Vyvanse, Ritalin, and all generics) 
  • Benzodiazepines (like Xanax, Ativan, Klonopin, Valium, all alternatives, and
  • generic)
  • Ambien
